Where we are
A Google Ads agency in Lakewood, New Jersey
Steady Growth Marketing is based in Lakewood, in Ocean County. We run paid media for businesses across New Jersey, from Monmouth and Ocean up through Middlesex, Essex and Bergen, and for clients well outside the state.
Does your agency need to be local?
For most of what we do, no. A Shopping campaign for an e-commerce brand runs the same whether the person managing it sits in Lakewood or anywhere else.
There are a few situations where being nearby genuinely helps:
- Service-area businesses. If you're a contractor, a practice or a firm serving a radius, someone needs to know that targeting "New Jersey" wastes budget, and that a radius drawn around a ZIP code will happily buy clicks from across a bridge you don't cross.
- Seasonality. Shore businesses, HVAC in a Northeast winter, home services after a storm. These follow a calendar that's easier to plan around when you live here.
- Meeting in person. Some owners want to sit down once before handing over a budget, and that's fair.
What we run for New Jersey businesses
- Google Search. The high-intent core: someone searching for what you sell, right now. Built around match types, negative keyword discipline, and call tracking that separates a real inquiry from a wrong number.
- Google Shopping and Performance Max. For retailers and e-commerce, where the product feed matters more than the ad copy.
- Local Services Ads. For home services and some professional categories, the Google Guaranteed listings that sit above the regular search ads and charge per lead instead of per click. A separate system with its own rules, and often the cheapest booked job in the account.
- Meta Ads. Facebook and Instagram, where you're creating demand rather than capturing it.
- Conversion tracking and reporting. Usually the first thing we fix. Optimizing toward a number that's wrong makes things worse faster.
Industries we work with here
New Jersey's business mix shapes a lot of what we see:
- Healthcare and ABA providers. Ocean and Monmouth counties have a high concentration of ABA therapy, home care and behavioral health businesses. The economics and compliance rules are different enough that they get their own page.
- E-commerce and DTC. The stores that scale profitably are the ones that sorted out margin and feed quality before increasing budget.
- Home services. HVAC, plumbing, roofing, remodeling. High-intent local search where a wasted click costs real money, and where Local Services Ads usually belong alongside Search.
- Professional services. Legal, accounting and consulting firms, where one client can be worth years of revenue and lead quality matters more than lead volume.
Questions worth asking any agency
These three will tell you most of what you need to know:
- Who's actually in the account? Ask for the name of the person doing the work, not the person on the sales call.
- Who owns the ad account? If the agency owns it, leaving costs you your conversion history. We build in accounts you own, on your billing.
- What are you optimizing toward, and is the tracking accurate? If nobody can answer that clearly, the reporting won't tell you much.

Questions, answered
No. We're based in Lakewood and work with plenty of New Jersey clients, but paid search runs the same from anywhere and many of our clients are elsewhere in the country.
Yes, for local clients. Most of the work happens over scheduled calls and shared reporting either way, since that keeps a clear record of what was decided and why.
No. We run paid media: Google Ads, Shopping, Performance Max and Meta Ads. Local SEO is a different discipline, and we'd rather tell you that than take the work and do it badly.
Around $3,000 a month in ad spend. Below that there isn't enough conversion data to optimize responsibly, and we'll say so rather than take the engagement.
